The Lowertown Community has launched a new video that highlights the voices of its residents on issues important to the community.
The video is one of many steps taken to ensure that Lowertown is a community that is inclusive to all residents. It showcases the diversity of races, religions, ethnicities and age groups within the community and how these factors do not limit the ways in which residents contribute to and help strengthen Lowertown. The video is meant to create a platform for residents to openly discuss safety and security concerns within the neighbourhood. However, these residents also discuss the positive aspects of the community, illustrating that Lowertown consists of more than the negative incidents that one sees within the media.
