Arts and Culture make a great contribution to the wellbeing of our communities. The Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre is using chalk as a brilliant tool to communicate during the pandemic. We believe that public art is a great way to brighten resident’s day during the pandemic. It creates space for commentary, to identify our contact information and helps alleviate isolation. It has created public dialogue; residents have shared their messages and images in response. This initiative helps the development of a community’s creative learning during a challenging time. The initiative helps build healthy communities, allows for creativity and activism.
