About Russell Manor:

There are approximately 200 residents living in the seniors’ community of Russell Manor. The community is situated near the Museum of Science and Technology and is close to the Dempsey Community Centre. There is a community room located on the ground floor.

Working with communities to develop policies and make improvements in neighbourhoods to increase reported levels of safety as well as local residents’ perceptions of safety.

Working on providing local opportunities for residents to become involved in their communities through volunteering and engagement in decision-making.

 

Healthy Aging

Working on providing opportunities for older adults to actively participate in the community while improving access to necessary supports.

Each neighbourhood has developed an action plan so that residents and service providers can keep track of how their organized activities are working for change. The activities and initiatives are sometimes organized by residents, sometimes by service providers and, very often, organized together.
